ONCE A HOME FOR THE LIVING, NOW A HOME FOR THE DEAD

BUILT in the later stages of the Victorian era, the 1880s limestone building located here in Chicago was once a comfortable, upscale home.

In the early 1970s it became a funeral parlor. An add-on was built in the rear to accommodate mortary services while remaining parts of the building still served as living quarters.

This building has always fascinated me.  It has been uninhabited and boarded up for years . Last year it was finally put up for sale for a short period of time, without any buyers.

Within 15 minutes of my arrival on this photo shoot, I obtained a sequence of anomolous photos. I also went back to the property the same day at night and shot a series of orb pictures.
